Integrated Pest Management (IPM) provides an alternative
to toxic chemicals for many pest management issues,
from lawn maintenance to barn, rest room and kitchen
facilities. It is an effective and evironmentally sensitive
approach to pest management that relies on a
combination of common-sense practices.
If you employ outside vendors for pest management, we can assist you
in drafting your RFPs for contractors so that they ensure the use of IPM
products and practices at your facility.
IPM programs use current, comprehensive information on the life cycles
of pests and their interaction with the environment. This information, in
combination with available pest control methods, is used to manage pest
damage by the most economical means, and with the least possible
hazard to people, property, and the environment. IPM takes advantage
of all appropriate pest management options including, but not limited to,
the judicious use of pesticides.
We will provide you with an assessment of your current pest
management practices, and identify areas in which you can pilot IPM
methods, and later, if desired, switch to IPM throughout your site.
